mt prop (mtv -18) gears locked up... tech advise please

I have an mtv-18 that suddenly locked up. I have removed the motor
and tried to rotate the sloted shaft... no can do. The mt people in
FL are gone until 2 Jan and I would like to get some technical
words-of-wisdom before then if possible. I have no fear (well, maybe
a little) of tearing into the gearbox but I don't want to until I hear
some words from someone knowledgable. Any help out there?
