Used Oil Analysis of CAMRY'S Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 after 4,920 miles

About 7 months ago, I mailed to Blackstone Labs a used motor oil sample that came out of my oil pan's drain plug when I did an oil change. Here are the results of the UOA (used oil analysis). I changed the Camry's ATF today (added Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF)

Today I did a drain and refill of my transmission pan's Toyota T-IV, replacing it with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. 3.7 quarts of red T-IV drained out and I replaced it with 4 quarts of red M1 Synthetic. The extra 1/4 of a quart or 0.30 quarts isn't too much extra, is it? Not enough to cause foaming or windage, right? (Not even sure windage... more »

noisy lifter?

'99 Cavalier 2.2 suddenly developed a moderate 'clacking' noise. The noise is the same, whether the engine is hot or cold. I get a pretty strong match to the sound, when I listen to a stick on the rocker arm bolt for #1 exhaust. All-in-all, It sounds like a noisy lifter to me; but, I've been wrong once or twice.... more »

2003 GMC Sonoma. New thermostat, self installed last week, not losing coolant, hoses original but look good, no noise or leak from water pump. Gurgling noise from heater core on cold startup. Radiator cap seems to be holding pressure. Never been flushed. Changed oil / filter just last week. Radiator fan is spinning.... more »

I've been trying to solve a leaking issue on a C-4 auto trans on a '66 Fairlane. I replaced the shift shaft seal, the bushings on the center shaft, it's still leaking and as near as I can tell it's coming from the mating surface of the transmission pan.
