'91 Escort questions

My wife rolled her 88 Escort into a ditch and totaled it. She walked away
from the accident unscratched. We had to buy another car that night and
she found a '91 Escort 'Pony' with 69,000 miles on it. We ended up buying
it and brought it home the same night. Since it has 69,000 miles what
kind of maintenance will be required now? I know the timing belt will
need replaced soon, the tires look good and the brakes feel good. The car
runs very well and rides like new. All in all the car looks new and she
is happy with it. Only problem is that the lcd's in the radio are broke.
How reliable is this year of Escorts (doesn't Mazda make it?)?
