Hi folks,
My rear bumper was scratched when my car was towed away (without
my knowledge) and I had to pay 75 bucks to get it. Those !@#$%^&*() scratched
the rear bumper in the towing process but they denied it. I only realized
that I couldn't hold them accountable because I had signed the release form
during payment, before which they won't allow me to see my car. That's criminal!
In any case, I can't do anything about it because there is no compelling evidence
on whether they have done it or was it done before they towed the car. Darn!

I'm now trying to find matching paint to cover up the 3inch x 0.25inch
scratch. Walmart, and the other stores don't have the exact paint color for
my car. Do you know where I could buy the exact matching paint, on the web
or at some other auto store?

Thanks.
W.C.

Many auto body shops will color match and put up the paint in spray
cans for you. That way, you'll get the right color, even if the paint
has faded since the car was new. If you're painting a plastic bumper,
tell them, so they'll mix in the needed plasticizer as well.

You might have a claim of duress that would void the release, but
you're unlikely to get very far with that without a lawyer. And you
can get a whole lot of cans of custom-match paint cheaper than you can
get a lawyer to write one demand letter.
