Should be interesting to see him run a full season again - he almost

Not quite. He's in 28th place mired in the pack more than 600 points
out of the chase. That's a lot for having run 5 fewer races.
That said, if he runs the full season for HMS (and luck doesn't beat
him), he stands a good chance of making the chase.

In the 12 races he's run, he's averaged 120 points per race. Had he met
that average in the 5 races he didn't run, he'd be 10th in points right now.

DEI lost the primary #1 car to NASCAR's confiscation with a roof profile
problem. Truex didn't get a lap of practice in the back-up.

There is no getting around the fact that Mark Martin has
always been a good qualifier...
If tonight's race goes two laps, like qualifying,
he has a great chance of a top finish.
If it goes the distance, my bet is that the "all-mighty" Jr.,
and Kyle Busch will both finish in front of him...

That's a lot different than "almost made the chase while running a

I think the odds of KyBu finishing ahead of MM is inversely dependent on
how many laps KyBu spends near JPM.

I wasn't the one drawing some sort of comparison
between running 1 good lap, and somehow being able
to get the job done....
