I don't care to over dramatize an event to make a point.
In the Talladega incident, the catch fence did it's job.
The 99 car traveling at a high speed went back onto the track.
As did the Allison car or Bodine truck, or the Craven car, years
ago.
The incident with Keselowski was not even close to the same.
If one wants to argue about what Edwards did being wrong, or
right,
and what the penalty should be,
that is fine, but don't bring women and children in to gain
favor.
It didn't happen.
If it had, we could discuss it based on that.

I believe I read this morning in an SI's reporter's column that the
'Dega incident resulted in a woman having a broken jaw. So there was
at least one fan injury.

I don't know if they ever concluded whether it was a loudspeaker
torn off the fence, or the carburator from Edward's engine.
Apparently both were amoung the debris in the vicinity.

Well, it may have not been an official poll,
but Marty Smith spoke with at least 8 drivers,
off the record yesterday, and the result was 100%
in agreement with the penalty.
