It amazes me that some people find some sort of pleasure
in seeing empty seats...

I got a new Matco tool box for my wife.
Best trade I ever made...

We are just bitter cause Cup racing is a shell of what it used tobe.......
before all these cookie cutter tracks and a million other things.

Remember when Bristol seated 40,000 and you could camp up on the hill?
Those extra seats ruined my good time LOL.

Its a sick pleasure...and I feel part of it, as Labor Day belongs to
Darlington.

And I was born a Yankee, lol.

NO empty seats at Darlington, on Labor Day.

SoCal is a different animal than the rest of the Country.

Yes they have USC/UCLA, but could care less about the N or any "FL". Theyre
front runners when
the Kings light up the ice.

Force feeding folks stuff they don't want at a price the rest of us
eventually pay for is bad business.

Yes, in general I wouldn't be pleased with empty seats, other than
perhaps as confirmation that my belief that NASCAR is misguided.

But in the specific case of Fontana, I'm tickled to death at the
empty seats, because NASCAR/ISC's justification for taking the
race from Darlington was specifically that Darlington did not
sell enough tickets. The more shame and embarrassment NASCAR
feels from that misguided notion, the happier I am.

Incidently, to add to NASCAR's shame, I gather than while only
60,000 showed up for the race at Fontana, nearly 30,000 showed
up at Darlington to watch some of the old-timers take slow laps.

Probably 30,000 oldtimers,
that wouldn't go to a cup race today!!!!!

It's hard to understand how a funeral home can raise it's prices,
and blame it on the cost of living....
