Winner: Patrick Carpentier. He deserves a win. He has been making
it on time all season.
1. AJ Allmendinger blew them away with his qualifying run and may
have some left to show. He scores a top 10.
2. Kyle Petty made the race but that is about all. He will finish
outside the top 30.
3. David Reutimann is the only MWR car starting in the top 20, he
will be the only one finishing in the top 20.
4. Marcos Ambros will show some stuff. and move forward to the top
20.
5. Ryan Newman scores a much needed top 10 to keep alive his drive to
the top-12.

Y' know, these two are perilously close to being gimme's. The odds
of Waltrip, Skinner, or Petty having a strong run are pretty darn
small.
But I think I'd give you a pass on them, because these:

are pretty darn aggressive :-)

I was a little worried about those when I made the predictions.

I thank you for your indulgence, sir. ((^:

If you ignore what was happening at the front, it was a decent race.
Not great but decent. What was happening at the front was Jimmie
Johnson waiting for everyone else to catch up with him.

+0 Coulda, woulda, shoulda.......He had to drop to the back, from his
5th place qualifying, because they changed the tranny. He still
finished in 18th, on the lead lap.

+0 Hard fought race for AJ. He scored a 14th place finish.

+1 Finished 38th. Well past time for Kyle to hang up the helmet.

+1 9th place for David.

+0 32nd, 2 laps down. I don't think the Wood Brothers are giving him
the cars that will run up front.

+0 A rather ordinary 16th place finish. He needed much more. I
think he is out of the chase.
