Who here in r.a.s.i. is planning on going to a race this season, and
which race will you go to?
Watkins Glen is a possibility, especially since it is less than a 3 hour
drive from home. However, it is the same weekend as the ALMS race at
Lime Rock and I'm going to work as a marshal at that race. The ALMS race
is Saturday, so I could theoretically drive home after the race and
drive out to Watkins Glen Sunday morning, but that would be a royal pain
in the ass. I won't work the Glen as a marshal as long as the management
is as effed up as it is, and I'm not going to give up the ALMS race
since they are the best racing organization I've worked with and Lime
Rock is the friendliest track I've worked at. I'll have to see.

As I GUARANTEED, despite providing his own transportation,
meals, boarding and "working" free of charge (exactly what his
efforts are valued at and can draw), he won't in the future be
working ANY IRL race. Notwithstanding his pathetically feeble
attempt at deception, it isn't a volitional decision on his part. Not
only are they not interested in his volunteer presence, they pure
and simply don't want him around in any capacity whatsoever.

Wow. This one really takes the cake and runs away with it.
it (.) really is fucked in the head.
Coming from a pusillanimous, addlepated, mental
defective, nincompoop loser like you, that risible
assertion carries such IMMENSE ersatz significance.
I was speaking specifically about IRL races.
Perchance a specific, issue-oriented, well reasoned,
documented, fact-filled and devastatingly contested
rebuttal or witty rejoinder? Hardly. In its stead is yet
another in-kind offering in a long line of stunningly
insipid, stultifyingly stupid responses.
Also, just for the hell of it, the above has been archived so it can be
easily referenced after the next IRL race I work.

News flash moron, they're all archived, most of them
at google (and no, X-no archive doesn't prevent it).
You're just fine where you are. Go ahead and extend. Maybe 15 years or
so.
Speaking of so-called 'useless words,' I still haven't heard anything
from the multiple parties you contacted. Nothing.
Funniest part was when Marco wrecked in my section of the track at that
race. I could barely keep myself from laughing as I radioed to the tower
to report that Marco made a bad overtaking maneuver that bit him in the
ass. When Race Control radioed back stating, "Yep - that's what we saw,
too" I did bust out laughing. Priceless.
Maybe next year I'll be able to accept the Delphi Safety Team's
invitation to work St Pete or Mid Ohio, provided I can make room in my
schedule.

Amd just about every national motorsports writer
penned that Under A. Cheever made a bonehead
move and was at fault. Then again that's one of the
many differences between competent professionals
and envious, Walter Mitty type volunteer flunkies.

Sorry, dot. Race Control disagrees with you. Once again, you lose.

Wrong yet again, as always, I've yet to lose.
Maybe I could reschedule some vacations and work Mid-Ohio this year...
And maybe alchemists could change lead into gold.

This year the SPGP had the ALMS as part of the race weekend.
A series I watch just as closely. Although there is not much to argue
about, lol.
LOL - I think I'm done here. The truth of the matter is I can work any
IRL event my schedule allows and nothing you've communicated to anyone
can impede that. But you can keep playing make-believe if you'd like. I
had a boring Friday at work and you provided some light entertainment,
so I suppose I owe you some measure of thanks for that.
Sorry to not engage in this little spat further. Play-time is over and
there's a little something called 'reality' that the grown-ups would
like to talk about. Until the next time boredom drives me to engaging
you, have a glorious day.

I caught that - I was just addressing some ambiguity in my OP that you
pointed out.
That looked like it was a blast. I was invited to work that event, but
my schedule didn't allow for it. If they ran it the weekend after
Sebring like they did last year I would have stayed the extra week. I
had a good laugh when I was watching the Indy Pro race on ESPN2 - I saw
a car buried in the tyre wall and the worker that responded had been my
partner at Sebring. I'll have to tell him when I see him at Lime Rock.
And we once again cycle back to "+ entertaining".
ROTFLMFAO
Dolt !!!
