A touch of the 5 year olds ...

Lewis Hamilton ?@LewisHamilton
Just noticed @jensonbutton unfollowed, thats a shame. After 3 years as
teammates, I thought we respected one another but clearly he doesn't.

just a touch, Jenson should have replied, I dont have to follow you because I
get to see all our engineering data first hand. see he's following Sergio
Perez now :)

if thats the kind of ego Jensons had to put up with for 3 years surprised he
didnt do it sooner, is Lewis like the KP of the F1 world or something.

LH looks like a complete idiot here. The "Jenson unfollowed Lewis" story was something that I think either Jonathon Noble or BBC F1 team tweeted just after LH announced his departure. They then had to retract a few hours later when JB pointed out he'd never followed Lewis.

Its taken nearly a week for LH to catch up...

Well, I would rather see him spend his time with his engineers sorting
out his setup for the next race than taking care who is following him on
Twatter or not. In my view, the celebrity part of Lewis is hurting the
racer Lewis a lot.

I hate to say it but I agree with you total on this one.
I expect that Vettel will no get most of the acclaim that could have been
his has he stayed focused on just the racing

Well, no - it is the performance of the McLaren car which is hurting the
racer Lewis a lot.

Yes, that too, certainly. But it's not about the last race or this
season only. IMHO: it's a general mind set thing with Lewis. And ominous
Twatter posts are only manifestations of his mind set.

Yes, but the "mindset thing" only becomes a problem for him when the car
isn't performing well.

And sometimes his car is not performing well because he and his race
engineers are not getting the setup right. And this is - at least to
some extent - his (not) doing (it right). Especially in races where
Button gets it right and Lewis - acknowledged by anyone and their dogs
as the faster of the two - is not.
Don't get me wrong: for me, although I don't see him as the most
complete racer of his generation, Lewis is a natural, a racers racer and
still the fastest guy on the gird. But it appears to me that his
perception of himself as a "pop star/celebrity" is sometimes fogging his
mind.
