You're grasping to find proof Max was right now.
Everyone agreed cost reductions were needed. (following Max/Bernie working
so hard to bring manufacturers in to replace racing teams and keep the money
flow increasing, to keep CVC happy)
It was only Max that argued it had to happen all at once, and in 2010. That
was the fatal flaw in Max's position which made him the only one that was
really 'wrong' on the issue. Even Bernie disagreed with him on that one.

Let me recount the facts as best I can. There were some figures that I
wrote down on a piece of paper at the time - that's gone for recycling
by now.
So you know the source of my figures. I've checked it a couple of
times today. You have to be careful to apply the right filters, and
the figures occasionally change in strange ways - they should, after
all, only go up and only go up for the current month. I'll add that I
should have known better. The search engine on google groups has been
misbehaving of late - I sometimes can't find posts that I know I made
a week ago.
So with all that said, it's possible that I misconstrued figures. It's
possible that the google groups database threw me a wrong 'un. It's
possible that I applied the wrong filter or thought I'd applied a
filter when I hadn't.
In any event the only "proof" that I would have had of the figures
that I saw AT THE TIME is now being recyled somewhere. So the only
thing I can do is withdraw the assertions vis-a-vis our relative
volumes of posting.
Now you accused me of deliberately telling falsehoods. That is a
comment not just on what I posted here but also on my character. You
made that assertion. Let's see you proove that. As I said in another
current thread you have a habit of insulting other posters and of
casting aspersions about their character and motives. I'm calling you
on this one.
