F1 Comebacks

doesn't look to me like a man who is reconciled to the fact that his
driving days are over.
If he did decide to return (which I profoundly hope he won't) would he
still be able to win (I'm assuming he would only return to a top team
- probably Ferrari)?
The only successful F1 comeback I can remember was Niki Lauda, who
retired in 1979, returned in 1982 and won a third WDC in 1984. But
Lauda had pressing financial reasons for his comeback whereas Michael
doesn't need the money and would seem to have little to gain in terms
of reputation - not that that has deterred a good many other sportsmen
from trying to recapture former glories.

Having said that, he was completley out of his depth in 1995 - regardless of
the skinny fit Mclaren....

I would expect him to come back in some managing role in Ferrari rather
than as a driver. He can probably be very good at it...
