If you're looking for razor sharp images of sleek looking F1 cars carving
through turns or wreathed in clouds of rubber smoke..... You won't find them
here. If, on the other hand you are interested in the drivers working
environment, fascinated by how many knobs he has to twiddle, and switches he
has to flick in the cockpit, then this is the place for you. Lots of detail
shots of engine installations and suspension too..
The Williams FW15C is particularly interesting, active suspension, ABS,
Traction Control, Semi Auto gear box.. And all displayed without it's
clothes on..
So, put on your anorak and wander over to....

P.S. if you wander around you might find some other pics too..
I was depressed at the time, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Didn't get past the cars. Will have to take another look ;-). Or are
we referring to you and Stephen in your personal grandstand? If so,
I've seen it.
By the way, Tony, a great resource. Terrific. Can't recommend it
highly enough. Should be compulsory. Bookmark this site, everyone.
Must admit, I haven't even looked at my 200 or so Goodwood pix yet,
let alone, sorted and captioned them and put them on line. I promise
to get some up over the next weekend. Not in the same class, though.

Thanks David, appreciate it. Had some complimentary emails from people on
the scale models group too. At least you know why I didn't make contact on
the Friday now !
Roll on Coys.. Just need to sort out more battery power somehow..

Seconded.
Great stuff Tony. It's interesting to compare the evolution of the
Williams over the years, from the FW12C with it's mechanical
tachometer reading from 0-14000rpm, to 1990's FW13B with the
electronic display showing 9000-15000rpm, the cramped footwell of the
FW14B in 1992, and the incredible complexity of the 1997 FW19 steering
wheel and controls compared to the earlier cars.

Thankfully that is the only picture Tony has of me (well as far as I
know!)
Did you take many photos at the ALMS David?
I didn't know you were battery powered Tony... ;-)
Nope! Didn't take any. Didn't even take the camera. I leave the
sporscar events to Stephen ;-). Mind you, if I had had my camera with
me I would have taken a picture of a mechanic polishing his drivers'
helmet!
Some of us may have helped him ;-)

SIMCHAJGC! It still makes me chuckle to think of that - a whole press
grandstand, and what to the press do? Sit in the press room and wait to
crib their race reports from the team press releases. The standard of
journalism these days...
Sure! <G>
This coming from the man who I had to force to look out of a window
instead of at a tv screen at the end of the race...? ;-)
I was on tenterhooks... I couldn't quite believe that JJ had managed to
do the business, and I was *far* too bouncy to risk standing up!
JJ wasn't even in the car at the time! <G>
Yeah, but that aint the point!
And there you were thinking I ran on Chicken sandwiches and Evian...

A great car developed by Newey, the Williams team and Damon

Nice site and great pictures. I liked the one shot where it
said "The Evil Photographer inspired by Dab" just below the two
pictures of Dab are a big read G&T, I assume for Glenys and
Tony. My suggestion is change the "&" to an "I". Then would
would have two pictures of Dab with "GIT" just below. ;-)

What, the fact it's so naff.. Or such a low count ?
29 hits since 11.00pm last night aint so bad for a very minority interest
site.. I found out how to get at the full stats today. Since I first
mentioned it here and an rec.models.scale I've had over 300 discrete
visitors (and some indiscrete). I'm quite happy...

But it is a naff counter..
Didn't think you were ;-)
