Everyone raves about how much better F1 cars break than any other race car.
Do the F1 rules allow the use of materials that are banned by everyone else?

Generally, F1 cars are supremely reliable these days. They hardly ever
break.

It's not just about the brakes themselves, but the fact that F1 cars are
so light, and the tyres have so much grip, that also contribute to the
extremely impressive braking performance.

Apparently Toyota takes several days to make the brake linings for
their cars.
I doubt every genre of motor racing can afford to go to such
trouble.

Perhaps they should put more effort into making their cars go faster, rather
than on slowing them down.
