Just last season the chumps, without exception, were
vehemently denying in these newsgroups that JPM had
ever participated in, or was in any manner whatsoever
associated with, the IRL. Today they argue the exact
polar opposite.

Their posts would continue to be hilarious, were they
not so transparently pathetic.

Care to show an example?

JPM raced one IRL race, (the only one) completely trounced the
competition and stated the cars were so easy to drive, his grandmother
could've raced one.

Not to mention that he did it with very little testing, very little
seat time in that car, and another racing series in which he was
attempting to win a title and it had the primary focus. The fact that
he could do it say a great deal about two things. First the guy can
drive. It takes talent to adapt to a car that quickly. Second is
says a great deal about how bad the field was. With all those teams
having the advantage of driving the car year round, testing, its the
primary focus, in theory sponsorship (even if it comes from Tony
George) full time mechanics and engineers that should have a far
greater knowledge of the car than a team that comes in for a one off,
to be dominated makes a statement. Then again its not hard to
dominate the likes of Billy Boat, Sarah Fisher and Jimmy Kite in an
IRL car. IIRC this is even after the years of Dr. Jack, Racin Gardner
and 00 Joe so they had gotten at least a little better.

Yep, made Tony look silly-though that's a short drive.

So did Tracy and TKG who won but got royally jobbed.

Montoya, in his rookie year in CART, also quite handily
defeated the competition which included Andretti, Da
Matta, Franchitti, Kanaan, Moore, Fittipaldi, Herta, De
Ferran, Franchitti, Castroneves, Fernandez, and Pruett,
nearly all of which advanced to the IRL (sorry Greg
Moore couldn't cut it and didn't make it), and none of
which participated that year in the Indy 500.

His rookie year at the Indy 500 (when the IRL was
justifiably considered to be a joke) defeated the likes of
Boats, Kites, Fishers, Knapps, Wattles and other Lazier
drivers and underaCheevers.

It is a wonder that he even won, after all, don't they drop the yellow at
Indy to keep the non-IRL drivers of the Borg Warner Trophy?

You know that old Boy George is a great believer in the old chestnut
of "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"

I wonder if Jacques has ever said "crapwagon"?

Apparently Scott Goodyear has...

One driver just stopped over in the US while waiting for a F1 seat to

For those interested, see: Principia Mathematica by
Bertrand Arthur Russell which takes one and a half
volumes to prove that one plus one equals ... well,
read the proof, and book (but not necessarily in
that order).

Yes, they do. Thank you for finally accepting that FACT.

But at the time, Montoya had such command over the best the IRL could
offer that the fraud would have been too obvious. The IRL was already
embarassed so deeply by the performance of team Ganassi that the only
thing they could have possibly done was to black flag Montoya for being
a foreigner and then remove the valve stems from JV's tires.

IRL management was so stupid that they almost let a CART driver win
again, but found a way to cheat him out of his victory.

Tony made sure that didn't happen again in 2002. You can look it up.
