I've seen many times where the starter for Autostick Bugs can be used instead of the one for manual tranny. I know the difference but want to know if there's any reason not to do the switch.

Hope you enjoyed your day, guys..... Every year I try to acknowledge the day, and say "thanks" to anyone that has, or does, wear the uniform. That said, don't think that the other 364.25 days per year it's forgotten, it's not. At least not here. (Happy day to my father, Viet Nam Vet.)

Hello there I have the Bug Me series on how to repair your VW Beetle on VHS. I've found all but one in .avi form on-line, and was curious if anyone had that one in .avi form? I just tried to order a filter oil pump for a mexican 1600 beetle through a local VW dealer in Orlando. I had part numbers and all. He tells me he is really sorry, my part numbers are valid and all, but VWoA will not ALLOW him to order the parts for me and no dealership will have them in the US, because the mexican made beetles were never... more »
