Any day now the title should come back and I can take the tag off my 71 bus
and transfer it to the 67 .. any day.
I have gone back and forth with what to do about paint. I am not saying
that money isn't an issue, but that wasn't really my concern, even though I
am having to dig pretty deep for change. I just didn't know if I wanted to
go with a standard paint job - two tone or one color or if I wanted to
totally GO BACK IN TIME and paint it the way that would make me the
happiest .. hippiest ...

Decided PSYCHEDELIC is the right thing for me. ONE: I can do some myself
.. TWO: If I screw up, who will notice?? THREE: It is just a fun thing to
do.

When I am finished making the mess, I can always paint over it I guess. So
I was wondering .. any known URL's of hippie paint jobs ?? Looking for
ideas.

Get into the 'mood' and do it. I've seen more Hippie paint jobs done
than I can remember. One that impressed me the most was where the ladies
got naked, painted their bodies and pressed them against the sides of
the bus. Came out very bad, but WHO CARED?

Oh, on the constructive side check out the buses from Burning Man.

I can tell you having a hippie paint job on an old bus attracts the attention
of the local police they seem to like mine, there always stopping me to get a
closer look

Not sure how the bus would come out, but there would probably be some people
here at RAMVA that would be willing to supervise this painting procedure....Any
Volunteers? :o)

Just a suggestion> When you get it looking right, spraycan some clear
paint over it to preserve it...this really helps on brand new cheapo
bumpers too! You're lucky - I was part of that whole head/freak 60's
"trip", but I have a '72 Super...I'm still thinking of painting big
flowers, etc. on it. Look up Ken Kesey and the bus Further online, or
Merry Pranksters....oh! make sure it's well cleaned out inside and out
- ya don't want the local sheriff to find an old kilo or roach under
the carpet...seriously! Have fun :+)
Janis Joplin had a beautiful psychedelic Porsche / you can find it on
