Was playing around with PhotoImpact, putting together the VT trip stuff
for my log page at my site. I couldn't believe how sharp that pic came
out. It is a "color pen" rendering of pic I took on Saturday.

Very cool. If you wanted to make that into a poster, it would probably
popular, if you offered them for sale.

But not a BIG poster, maybe a nice frameable 11x14 or 16x20 size? Ooooh! Or
another t-shirt!

You should have some printed, litho or something, about 18"x24", matted and
framed. Those would sell.

If you're going to do it, make it a litho, a real print, not just a poster.

Or send to an embroidery shop where they do computerized embroidery, and sew
it on a cotton mat, or even a nice jacket.

Yeah.

John,
Beautiful picture. If you email me a copy of the original photo, I can 'remove'
the traffic signs and power lines from it giving it a more pristine look. I'll
then send it back to you to digitize w/ the color pen. [Do you want a '57 split
window, too? ;) ] I prefer a big bitmap for editing, but a JPEG will do.

Finally got to check out that pic, very nice. As many have suggested it
would look great on a variety of mediums. If time and traffic would of
allowed, it would of been nice to see Zinny going through the covered bridge
at the same angle, she looks sorta broke down there along side the road. ;-)

A suggestion John:

This does have potential, but I would Photoshop out the pictogram
signs before applying the color pen effect. For example, cut other
sections of the gable end of the bridge and paste them over the signs.
They disturb the 'vintage' feel of a great shot. Without them, itmay
as well be 1957.

Actually, something happened to the sharpness and contrast vs. the first
attempt, but I did it real quick. I just did a "clone" of some of the
siding on the other side. The sign post is still there. I also had to
clone in some of that dim "timber" structure under the roof that was
hidden by the sign on the post.

I can also do watercolor, charcoal and oil paints in either B&W or
color....

I have a couple other really nice shots that I may mess around a bit
with too. Right now I want to finish up the "log" page that has some
other neat VT pics on it. Check the Bugshop later this afternoon,,

Howard, I just pulled that pic down off the server. I am having space issues again (with

Have you ever considered getting your own site altogether? You know,

autonomy (other than VWOA breathing down your neck about using the word

I have, but evertime I think about it, think about buying domain names (which
I have done for 2 other sites already), think about moving files, etc... it
just starts to look like work, not a hobby anymore. So long as Geocities
gives me space, and the Gods don't hassle me, I'll just take the least effort
path. BTW, when I first got on with GC, they offered 2 meg, right about then
I had run out of space, the went to 3. when I was bumping into that, they
went to 6, then 11, then 15. HELLO!!?? GC!? Time to up the ante again
boys!!

That's it, I'm calling the hired guns at VWoA and have them harrass you for

If your looking for some extra webspace, try www.cyberdub.net - it's free and has no
banners or advertising. You are also allowed to store files on it even if you have no
webpage there.
It can also be accessed from any web connection using a program such as FTPexplorer.
I think its 15megs.

John,

Would you *QUIT* that? I only have two monitors on my Mac, and I've run out
of places to add desktop background photos!
