They may be. I'd be more worried about the pistons. When did it
happen? Were you on the road at the time?
If just replacing the chain fixes it (couple hundred maybe? I wouldn't
know), I'd say you're extremely lucky. Worst case, you'll need to
replace the engine.

Some or all of the valves ARE bent, depending on the RPM's when the chain
broke. The pistons will be fine, a few nicks and such from the valves
hitting them but reusable. The oil pan will need to come off to dig out all
the broken chain guide pieces, Cyl. head comes off to replace bent valves
and any cracked valve guides.
My guess on a repair cost, no less then $1000.00
I don't think the car will be worth $1000 after you fix it.
