Do all Saturn dealers charge for delivery?
Does this cost vary by geographical region?

Yup!
>Does this cost vary by geographical region?
That's what I paid in South Holland, IL.
I believe that price is fixed. I asked if picking up the car in Spring Hill
would make a difference. They said that I'd still have to pay the
transportation cost to a dealership down there.

No. The transportation charge is $360 even for Hawaii.
Yes.

I think so. Can anyone from Tenessee confirm this? Is it a lot less?

I asked about this a month into getting my job with General Motors; it
seemed interesting that I could buy, say, a Pontiac Fiero from the
factory 2 miles away and get charged as much as the guy who bought it in
Florida.
The answer from the informed elders was that the process involves
shipping the car to various warehouse or distribution type places located
in several parts of the US, and from there to the dealers. This helps
with the logistics apparently. Shipping from factory to distribution is
done by rail sometimes, and then from there to dealer in the familiar
trucks.

I just checked the invoice on my '94 SC2. It listed the charge at $330.
I'm sure the difference is 94 -> 95, not TN -> WhereEverYouAre.
I live in Franklin, TN. About 5 of my neighbours work at the plant.
I bought mine from the Cool Springs Saturn dealer - I think only the
people that bought theirs at Homecoming bought them closer to the
plant in Spring Hill.
I joked that I'd drive the 15 minutes and go get it if they'd knock
off the $330. They weren't hip to that. :-)
It is a lot of fun on the trip to work to pass the True Family Model
of the Saturn on the road. You know, the 18 wheel variety. :-)

The views expressed above are my own. They are however correct.
Hmmm. What if I pick it up at the factory?

Unless they absorbe the cost somehow themselves, YES.
>Does this cost vary by geographical region?
No, it's the same $360 for any Saturn, anywhere in the country.
