I had to stop and clean out the snow. It was snowing pretty heavy and I had
to pull over several times to clean out the snow. Fortunately, I wasn't in
a high traffic area and could safely stop and clean out the accumulated
snow/ice. However, I lost most all visibility out of the windshield as the
wipers ceased to function.
My dealer refuses to acknowledge the problem, basically telling me it's my
imagination. My contention is that it is potentially a dangerous problem.
If one were in a heavy snowfall and the wipers stopped working, and
conditions were such that it was difficult to stop, pull over to clear the
windshield area (like on a mountainous 2 lane road), then an accident is
almost surely to occur.
Has any Ridgeline owner encountered this problem? Basically, I think the
Ridgeline is a great car and I haven't had any problems with the vehicle.
Since I live in Texas, we don't get a lot of snow, especially heavy snow.
But I can't help but wonder what folks would do in cold climates if the
wiper problem happened there.
The car is still under basic and extended warranty.
Thanks
Also, I did send a note to Honda about the problem, but never got a
response.
[phone] call honda usa and tell them the problem and that your local
dealer is not dealing with the issue. be professional about it and
you'll find them quite helpful. it should be covered under warranty.
