My 66 Mustang doesn't run well. The problem is, when the vacuum opend
sec.inlet the engine gets too much fuel. I can see that on the exhaust and
measuring instrument. I have checkt almost everything, ignition, timing,
pressure, vacuum etc.. So the last thing is, some one have in the past
probably changed the mainjets in the carburator. My question is, witch
factory size on the mainjets for Autolite 4100 (C5ZFC) mounted on standard
A-koded 289, manual 4-speed. ?
Any ideas and help appreciated.

Thanks,

Mikael

Well, first off it looks like the carb is from a '65 Hipo 289. The 4100 on
that engine took larger jets primary (#52F) and secondary (#68F). According
to my shop manual the 4100 on A-code engines should have primary jets #49F
and #58F for the secondaries. The jets are easy to get at to check the #s
you currently have.
