Subject: 95 Wrangler Oil Pressure gauge
I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler and recently i looked over and saw the oil pressure gauge pinned out at 80.
When I come to a stop or when the vehicle is at idle it drops down to arounf 40 or 50 psi. The second i tap the gas it shhots back
up to 80psi but will drop right back down if i am still at an idle.  It almost looks like a speedometer the way it moves with the gas pedal.
I hit the gas it goes up and if i let me foot off it goes down.

Any Thoughts

Thanks in advance
Dom

install a new pressure sender and see if that helps or buy an
aftermarket gauge and hook it on to see what's really going on.
Pressure should go up and down at idle vs at speed...but not that
much!  Heck I can't think of anything that would enable a stock oil
pump to get up to 80 psi.

Mine has been sitting at full tilt for the past 2 months (ever since a bad
snow storm). 0 when off, goes to the max when I turn on the Jeep.
