I recently bought a Ford Ranger 4X4 Supercab and the spare is a Continental P235/70 R 16 whereas the tires on the truck P255/70 R 16. Of course the diameters are consequently not the same and I was wondering what that would that do to the rear differential if I had a flat tire on one of the rear wheels?... more »

My understanding is I have torsen center diff and open rear and front diffs with traction control, skid control and throttle control. Now pushing the diff lock button does nothing in 2wd, locks the center diff in 4wd high (and does what to traction control and skid control??), locks the center diff in 4wd low? There were just 3 trees and nothing else. From horizon to horizon flat stony desert in Australia’s Outback. Hi Folks, I want to get rid of my landrover and get either a landcruiser (LC4) or Touareg (2.5 TDi) The LC is slightly more than the VW (About £4k) but I am sure I can beat them down. It looks like the VW has a higher spec with bells and whistles for the same money than the LC. The LC has a digital clock! Rocking.... more »
