I'm after one of those 2 pin IEC type mains cables that used to be quite
popular last century. Teac/Tascam used to use them. They are slightly
smaller than the modern 3 pin and are rectangular, they don't have the
chamfered upper deck of the 3 pin.
These were hard to get hold of the last time I tried about 10 years ago. I
think you had to pay a fortune to Tascam. Anyone know of any sources in
the UK?
It is actually for a Roland 909 drum machine. I would rather not have to
file out the casing to fit a modern 3 pin, its a quite valuable vintage
piece of kit. Roland don't have any.
Cheers,
Gareth.

(Out of stock, with no delivery date available, apparently)
The picture I've seen shows a C9 type connector, which are,
unfortunately, almost as common as hens' teeth.
It may be possible to fit the modern figure-of-eight type (IEC C5) mains
connector plug/socket pair without modifying the casing of the drum machine.

Dunno about in the UK, but in the US I believe these are available from Volex.

Cheers, John, it is indeed a C9. Time for some more Googling then.
