PMD670 Problem

I used my new-to-me Marantz PMD670 recorder to record a pair of lavs at my
daughter's wedding. Its firmware was recently flashed by Denon. At their
recommendation, I purchased a Lexar 16GB CF card.

Unfortunately, the audio skips periodically. In particular, it jumps over the
words "I do" that my daughter said.

The unit looks like new. Every test I ran before the big day was perfect. Can
anyone tell me what might be wrong here? The recorder may be on the verge of
meeting a sledge hammer.

This may prove valuable evidence some time in the future !

(Just kidding - hope they have a wonderfull life together).

Check the files on the CF card directly into computer. It may well be
sledgehammer, or re-flash, or revert to an earlier firmware ...

I wouldn't fret over it too much, your daughter probably isn't.

But if you really want to fix it...I'm sure she would be glad to help
you...after the honeymoon..
