I'm wondering how the Motu 896mk3 preamps compare to the items
on your list, as well as the Millennia HV3?
It would be a bit nicer to have everything in one 2-space rack unit.
Unfortunately, if I wanted to use more than 8 analog signals with
the Motu, it appears I'd have to get a preamp with an A/D converter,
as it has AES/EBU, S/PDIF, and lightpipe inputs, but does not appear to
have additional line-level inputs (unlike my Tascam, which has 6
additional line ins, and S/PDIF).
