:Another GREAT episode. Top 10 things I loved about it, in reverse order.
:
:# 10 -- The suspenseful heist job turned truck chase sequence

The kids and I hated this - how stupid that someone with wire clippers
(as well as a sick kid) could sneak into an installation with what appears
to be military 'security', locate in the facility the one room and shelf
with the necessary gimmick, and then escape without being caught.

:# 7 -- Martha's pregnancy revelation, only because of its connection to #2

Does anyone besides me expect that, if this child is born, that it will be
a girl, and be discovered to have her own special 'super' powers? A twisting
of the "Supergirl" story lines into something new perhaps?

:# 4 -- Chloe-Clark-Lana triangle strengthens, with a hint of destiny (see #1)

We love the fact that first season we had Clark vs Whitney over Lana and
now, apparently, we are moving into housemates Lana vs Chloe over Clark.

:# 3 -- The fact Rosetta with Christopher Reeve is next week (great promo)

Our local station refuses to show teasers for WB teasers for next week!

:# 2 -- That super-kewl ship and its... multitasking capabilities

Another thing that the kids and I hated - the ship is generating all this
power, noise, and light outside a HOSPITAL and no one notices? Also, were
only Clark and Martha healed, or were others in the hospital effected?

Could be.

How's this for a way-out theory: Maybe when Krypton was being destroyed,
Kal-El/Clark's mother was also carrying "Kara", his *unborn* sister. But
the spaceship Kal-El's father designed is so advanced that it could also
accommodate Kara. The Kara fetus has remained in stasis in the ship all
this time, waiting for an opportunity to transfer the fetus to an
appropriate surrogate who could carry the pregnancy to term.

I wondered if this is the possible groundwork of a "Supergirl" spin-off
series, but... For one thing, you can't have a TV series starring an infant.
:-) Even if the writers get around that problem and come up with some wacky
idea to artificially age the girl (using Red Kryptonite? A super-villain?
The spaceship?) to her teen years, aren't they still going to end up with a
"Supergirl" series that would be too similar to "Smallville"? So either
this new "Supergirl" will be a one-shot deal for a few episodes "Smallville"
series, or maybe a future "Supergirl" series after "Smallville" ends, or
maybe the baby has nothing to do with Supergirl and is merely the human baby
of the Kent's. That last explanation seems the likeliest, though I can't
imagine what the "point" of that would be. Clark Kent with a human sister?
That just seems strange...
