I'm trying to find the title of a TV movie (more than one part). I
remember watching it during my childhood. It could be a Disney movie
but I'm not 100% sure... I also think it aired during the 80's...
The general plot of the movie was that there was a spaceship piloted
by a group of children/teenagers looking for a new planet to colonize.
Other random memories include their propulsion system was called the
slingshot drive.... I think....
Another scene I vaguely remember is one of the male children is in the
gym working out, however the weights that he is bench pressing is
replaced by small plate like device that simulate weight on the palm
of his hands (which would normally be where the barbell was)
If anyone can come up with the name of this TV movie, you are a true
80's god,
and I'll buy you a beer the next time I see you.
Any help or hints would be great. post your reply in this ng, or
email me at xml...@yahoo.com.
Cheers!
Someone asked this exact same question a few days ago. It usually takes
several months before someone asks the name of this movie (again).
Anyway, it's "Earth Star Voyager"

My guess is slim to none.
Try emailing/writing to Disney. Maybe you can convince someone over
there to air it again. At the very least they'll know there's an
interest in it if it's offered for sale.
