The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that a number of productions are
utilizing Philadelphia as their venue for works that actually take
place in New York City. Very simply--it's much cheaper and the city
works hard to accomodate filmmakers. There are many locations that
look like NYC, and the city will cover up street signs, subway
entrances, and the like to make it look like NYC.
