There was an episode Doctor Who here in New Zealand yesterday (Good
Friday) - it was a re-run of the David Tennant episode with the wormhole,
the flying double-decker bus, and the Lady thief.

There are also weekday re-runs on the Australia / New Zealand SkyTV's UKTV
channel here too, but I'm not sure which season that is though.

You could always watch the many episodes of Doctor Who that are on DVD and
Blu-ray.
BTW, the new series has been running on ABC2 in Australia since early this
year, from the Eccleston eps.
Vincent and the Doctor was shown on Good Friday.

There should at least have been an Easter special.

The BBC has lost it's why. There's nothing for Easter on TV this evening or
Bank Holiday Monday evening and there was nothing on Friday or Saturday
either. Same goes for ITV.

Doesn't one of the broadcast networks usually show "The 10 Commandments"
this weekend? But it's not being shown this year.

Instead, we have mostly reruns, and one of the few new shows is a double
dose of GCB on ABC tonight. :)

The Sound Of Music was on as well - though I can't say that I really
recall the time/channel. I just recall seeing it while channel
surfing. Might have been in the afternoon, with The 10 Commandments
being on in Prime Time.

As was mentioned above, The Ten Commandments was shown "last night"
(i.e. Saturday evening). They kept with their tradition of showing it
Easter Weekend (which was what was originally asked about), just not
on Easter Sunday itself.

It's certainly "fi", but not much "sci" in it. :-)

Here in New Zealand an Easter regular on TV tends to be "Charlie & the

Oh, while I'm griping - and this changes software update to software
update - but MOST of the time, the search function makes you start from
the beginning, including the word 'the' - so BIG BANG THEORY won't
return any 'title' hits, but THE BIG will. Idiots. BIG BANG may or not
work with keywords. And sometimes they've keyed in the search terms in
plural, so SHATNER might or might not find SHATNERS and vice versa.
Idiots. And there was NO way to find SHAT MY DAD SAYS 'cause you have
to start from the beginning, and you don't get any special characters.

I suspect what's happening with MAN V. FOOD is that they're doing
something funky with the 'v' and it displays as 'v.' but needs to be
searched as 'vs' or something, because I can find regular MAN V. FOOD
but not the NATION version. Let me try something ... yeah, that's it.
I can't put in the '.' and MAN V. FOOD is found, but MAN V. FOOD NATION
isn't. If I just title search for MAN they both come up; it's the
period after the v. Did I say 'idiots'?
