Incontinence 2005: Its not just for Grandma any more!

>Will BBCA get it? No! More Ground Force
>repeats for us all! Ugh.
I can't speak for BBCA, but I can tell you The Hammer, over at Sci-fi
channel passed on the new series.
Coulda downloaded it you square
For anyone who's seen it, is this an all-new retelling of the story, or is
this a continuation of the long-running story?
Doctor Who doesn't really have a "long running story".
>The ALL NEW Doctor Who Premieres today on BBC1!!! Canada will get it in
>April, us in the States? Nope. :~(
>
It's a kid's programme; nothing to see here.
Yes, I'm bitter because they didn't make the programme I wanted it to
be. Sue me.

Usenet is your friend. Take that however you like. *
P.S. Best 90 or so postings I ever downloaded^w read.

* PV something like badgers--something like lizards--and something
like corkscrews.
No onscreen regeneration (but don't get me started on that - remember the
travesty that was the baker-McCoy switch?), but otherwise it's the doctor
Who we all loved, back before we started hating and then kind of liking
again.
I'm not all that happy with the inside of the tardis though - it's a bit
too reminiscent of that unspeakable TV movie. *
Flame your corporate TV culture. I heard Scifi turned it down.

You can already download it, if you want:
http://www.btefnet.net/
at least BBCA is showing Benny Hill starting Monday :)
Remember the 4400? Maybe the new show will be on DVD
after the first season...

I bet you still have all the "do not remove" tags on your mattresses.
LOL!
Not exactly the same thing though. To put it more on par with downloading
TV shows, no I don't shoplift from stores.
Brad
Probably. And if not, there's always the eventual DVD release.
Brad
That's confusing: what's the difference between downloading TV shows and
getting up to take a piss during the adverts?
That's not comparable either since the actual act of downloading tv
shows isn't illegal, only sharing it with others is. So that would be
like shoplifting from a store but accidently dropping stuff while
running down the street and being arrested because someone picked it
up.
Anyway even if it's technically against the law I won't feel bad for
doing the same thing I would've done with a vcr or dvr. And there's
strong evidence that the BBC leaked the episode on purpose.
Since it's physically impossible to get Doctor Who in the US, I have a lot
less problem with it. It's not like you're depriving any station of income
by downloading it. *

Actually, I'm sure it will be available on DVD sooner or later, so it's
not like you could never see it legally.
Brad
True, but there's something about "this product exists right now, but
the owners refuse to sell it to me yet" that for me puts it a long
ways down on my personal "immoral" scale from, say, copying a DVD for
someone.

Major bummer that.
Not the same thing either, if you shoplift from a store someone loose
something. That need not be the case if you download something a tv
show.

But their already looking for a new doctor since Eccleston just quit.He said
he doesn't want to be type
cast which is pretty hard to do since no one knows who he is.
>
True, and I'll buy it since I've already taken advantage of the content. I
did the same thing with Wonderfalls - and I'm really glad I did. Some of
those torrent files were really crappy, and I gave up after downloading
only two of them anyway. The box set is a great thing. *
Except it's still theft, whether or not you think the other person suffered
a loss or not. That's not your decision to make. If the guy that breaks
into your house and steals your toaster feels you haven't 'loosed' anything,
does that make it true?
