The incessant smiling and perkyness is beyond creepy. Is this something she practiced while her career was in neutral, to try to sway producers/directors into giving her something do do?

She's been terrible for a long time. See "The Saint"
-- So we're all agreed that Clod is as stupid as Charlie Sheen?

If you don't like her, stop watching the show. I enjoy her character, and think she fits in nicely with the "team".

I had a harder time accepting Ted Danson in his role. All I could think of
was Sam Malone from Cheers. Still, I think CSI has done great in keeping
the show going as the cast has changed over the years. Danson and Shue
have done fine.

I never watch CSI but thought Shue was very good in "Leaving Las Vegas".

It was all downhill after Adventures in Babysitting.

I completely agree. They managed to keep a 12 year old series fresh (while letting two "newer" ones rot on the vine).

I like Danson, & did not have the same trouble as you as I have seen him in quite a few shows since Cheers, such as Becker, Damages, Bored to Death to name some.

I agree.
I forget whether I liked her or not in Call to Glory, where she was much younger & attractive.

The *first* Thor movie.

That is why the "Law & Order" Mothership lasted so long as well,

No, a young-ish Vincent D'Onofrio got hammered when Sara, who's idol was Thor, gave him her Thor hammer, because she thought he was grumpy.
