I was afraid of this when they started the whole demon war storyline.
Don't care about demons or shooting people or the whole arcana about
exorcisms and salt. I do care that they killed off *another* great
character in Hendricksen purely for sensation and removed the jeopardy
of their criminal records with a wave of the hand.

You'd think the demons would stop with the throwing the Winchesters up
against the wall. <rocky squirrel> That never works. </rocky squirrel>

Interesting comparing T:SCC with this, both about fending off some
oncoming apocalypse - here with demons, there with robots. There Sarah
overtones about how 'there is hope in war'. Sarah talks about the
importance of sacrifice (though they managed to avoid it in that episode
anyway), here the Winchesters refuse to sacrifice the girl and everyone
else suffers the consequences.
