At first I didn't understand at all. I managed to puzzle it out, as
I've at least heard of MTV's "Real World", but don't know or care the
premise of the show. Most of that still doesn't make any sense. The

I can't believe people are bringing up reality shows as actually
corresponding to anything in actual reality.

I can't believe people are bringing up the DND alignment system as

blasphemer! the D&D alignment system is the ancient, fundamental basis
of all morality and ethics. its concepts of law, chaos, and neutrality
have guided men, elves, and dwarves since the beginning of Time herself.

Normally I'd agree, but "corresponding" is sort of a relative term, and the
other thing on offer is "reality TV shows". At which point, I'm inclined
to consider the D&D alignment system pretty realistic.

I had the same problem.

The only "lack of reality" show I watch is an occasional episode of
Amazing Race after dinner, and that's only because of the cool places
they go.

Heh. I miss the days when that's all it would take to set off a 500-
post alignment thread.

I watch Survivor when I can stand it, because my wife watches it. She
watches it for the places too.

I think the lot of them should be shifted towards the Chaos, if not Evil,
axis. You're not inferring that loose women aren't Lawful, are you? LOL

Lawfuls like it out of respect for tradition, Chaotics like it because
it's fun this time too, Neutrals can all get behind the fun traditions.

Goods want to help others understand, save them from common problems.
Evils want you to know how stupid you are, you big stupid-headed dweeb.
Neutrals don't want to see you hurt, but would like you to stop being wrong.

I am pretty sure there are better ways to get to see exotic locations
on TV.

I classify game show contestants as True Neutrals
because Good and Evil are too much work.

Travel shows are rubbish too though, and there's not much sci-fi on
locally. I guess the local farming show manages to wave the camera around
now and then, but New Zealand only looks exotic to people not born here.

Also a problem, the rest of the world looks a bit pants. 8]
