This is funny. I can take or leave E.T/The Insider, but my wife
watches religiously so I end up seeing it regardless. During the whole
"special correspondent to Dancing With The Stars" bit, I commented to
my wife several times about how Donny seemed to fit right into the
show and that they ought to find some way to keep him around.
When he started as "Idol commentator" I wasn't surprised, but when he
took over Pat O'Brien's role and looked to be keeping it, I was
unsurprised on the one hand, but really curious about what had
happened to O'Brien on the other.
So, does this mean that Donny is temporarily filling O'Brien's shoes?
I don't miss Pat, sorry to say. If Donny was to take the role
permanently, it wouldn't affect me at all, except that maybe I might
actually choose to watch the show occasionally instead of watching
because it's 7:00 and my wife is plunked in front of it. *heh*
