Hi!
I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with this quest of mine. I'm
looking for a MacGyver episode guide, FAQ, maybe a mailing list. I'm also
curious whether USA will resume showing the show anytime soon.

Also, I've heard rumors of a second TV movie for this fall. Any truth?

And, finally, how receptive is Richard Dean Anderson to polite fan mail? I
have a friend who is probably Japan's biggest MacGyver nut, and she'd
kill for a autographed photo. (^_^)

Thanks in advance, everyone. Feel free to follow-up to the newsgroup at
large, as it might be of interest to SOMEONE else.

There's a MacGyver mailing list out there (already) -- I'm sure all of
your questions have been answered several times over -- they were
completing an episode guide just as the series ended.

hth.

Mark,
Thanks for the cast list. In truth, I already knew about and watched Lost
Treasure of Atlantis. Rumor was that there would be a second TV movie,
perhaps to show this fall. I was hoping someone could confirm it. (^_^)

Thanks again!

There is a mailing list out there, with lots of fans, request
subscription to macgyver...@cc.gatech.edu. I can't help with an FAQ
(I'm new to this internet stuff) but I can tell you that USA will be
resuming MacGyver starting for the month of September. A USA rep told me
he'll be off the air again come October.

>Also, I've heard rumors of a second TV movie for this fall. Any truth?

Very true. It's called "Trail to Doomsday", and a brief synopsis is
that one of his friends is murdered his daughter kidnapped...MacGyver gets
involved (of course) :) and is framed for murder, discovering some
terrorist plots.

Very receptive. I have two autographs from him, they take a
long time, mine took 6 weeks for one, 1 week for the other, so it all
depends. You can write to him C/O Paramount 5555 Melrose Avenue, Los
Angeles, CA 90038.

You are very welcome!

Actually, you have to mail to sh...@cc.gatech.edu to subscribe. I
don't think the macgyver-request address exists -- at least I've never
seen it mentioned anywhere.

>I can't help with an FAQ

FAQ means a list of Frequently Asked Questions (and answers). We
don't have one for the MacGyver list. If we did, we would
probably call it the MacFAQ.... ;-)

The scary part is the rumor that the *first* movie ("Lost Treasure of
Atlantis") was shown first because it was the better one. Doesn't
bode well for "Trail to Doomsday"...

You could be right, better to email Shari. All my List mail comes
through macgyver-request, though. Hmmm. I'm still claiming "novice"
here..:):) I'm slowly learning this 'stuff' :)

Now thanks for that information!!! Learning is so much easier when
people post nicely explaining this stuff...

Very scary. I'm not keeping my hopes up for this one, although the
storyline seems it could be more on the realistic side than was Atlantis.
Of course, we have to reaize we don't know "who" thought Atlantis was the
better one. Whose decision was that? I'd rather judge for myself..:)
