What is going on that Necessary Roughness, Common Law, and it seems
like a bunch of other shows won't be on for 2 weeks.Whats up with
that? Do they not want to compete with the Olympics? I would think
that would be more of an issue with the "regular" networks.

My experience is that the Olympics screw up all of television.

The Olympics don't begin until the last week in July.

They're actually saving the episodes to compete with the Olympics...?

Also, since many people will go on vacation around holidays, maybe they
figure no one will be watching this week or next.

Well we can't be watching if they don't show them :)

They're only off for 1 week. The following week we actually have a
couple of shows making their summer premiers: White Collar and Covert
Affairs.

I think it's because of Independence Day. With the holiday smack in the
middle of the week, probably lots of people are taking the whole week as
vacation, instead of just a long weekend; or maybe some will take the
first half off, others the second half. Either way, a huge chunk of
audience will be away.

It has nothing to do with the Olympics. They don't schedule original
material for the July 4th holiday. For instance, USA is doing rerun
marathons this week.
