Errr ... what? A Jedi Mickey is the same thing as a Mickey Jedi.

He tried for years to get the necessary permits and such from San Rafael but the neighbors threw massive NIMBY shit-fits about anything more being built at Skywalker Ranch and the city council farked up letting him build his complex in some under-developed city land near the freeway and downtown. So when San Francisco announced plans to turn parts of the Presidio into a business park, Lucas bought a big chunk of it and started building the new Lucas Film Imperial capital.

Thee's a difference between Mickey and the other familiar Disney animated characters doing "Star Wars" (like the times they used to do classic stories) and adding a Mickey Mouse sidekick to a new Star Wars movie.
The latter would be like adding Jar Jar Blinks, oops they did that.
Look on the bright side, they can move Jar Jar to Disnewy, where he can be a cartoon character.

I went to Disneyland a few years ago. Prior to that I hadn't been since the late 80s too. The Indiana Jones ride is *really* good. It's sort of like an indoor roller coaster for people who don't like roller coasters. I'm thinking about going to Disneyland (and Universal Studios) early next year. One of the first rides I'll be heading too is Indiana Jones.
If I do go again, I'll be able to better enjoy my visit by avoiding certain rides/experiences like the Enchanted Tiki Room. Whatever you do, do *not* go into the Enchanted Tiki Room!

Whatever happened with that person that had their brain shaken loose from their skull on the Indiana Jones ride? (no, really, I'm serious)

Yeah, I bet Arthur's _really_ just trying to keep the rabble out of

Really? It's their first audio-animatronic attraction; Polynesian themed robot birds and Polynesian robot statues singing Polynesian themed robot songs. Sort of like an avian Country Bear Jamboree.

And you *like* it?!?!
At least it's a small world provides a boat trip and scenery. The Tiki Room forces the audience to sit on a bench for the 15 minute experience.
Sort of like an avian Country Bear Jamboree.
I must have missed that last time. I'll have to make a mental note to miss it again.

I haven't been there since I was a kid, but, yeah, as a kid I liked it fine. I thought the robotics were fascinating. I don't think I was ever young enough to think they were real birds.

I hate every moment of IASW. It may be the only thing at Disneyland I truly despise.

LOL, it's been there forever too. They had to change the lyrics to DAVEY CROCKETT when somebody realized that "killed him a bear when he was only three" was a bit disturbing when sung by an anthropomorphic bear.

You should see New Zealand's versions. The Agridome has lectures on the
farming industry and animatronic sheep, while the Rainbow's End "fun" park
has about three tired old rides and a small room of arcade games machines.
Other than that, a few bubbling mud pools, suicidal activitieslike
bungy-jumping, and "Hobbiton", that's the sum total of New Zealand's
tourism industry ... and it's all massively over-priced. :-\

Is there at least an animatronic wizard at the front gate shouting, "You shall not pass!" to anyone who can't afford to pay?

Nope. Hobbiton is simply a few holes in a hillside with doors on - no
wizard, nobody dressed up as Hobbits, no museum of film props, etc.
