In this respect the Europeans are superior to Americans, who
apparently have some mental illness regarding naked bodies. They want
to see ______ (insert your favorite star) naked but once they do, they
immediately degrade that person as a slut or pimp.

Europeans are much more enlightened. They have topless beaches, allow
public breast-feeding, and consider nudity in movies (or even tv) as
no big deal. It's just a body.

No more offensive than a naked deer or pig or cow.

Nudity being no big deal sounds quite boring.

That's not what you said when you ripped on Amanda Tapping in another
thread.

You're a weightist and I'm quite confident if you saw an overweight
woman on a nude beach or breast feeding in public, you'd be back here
comparing her to Delta Burke.

Unless they're overweight, right?

Nudity *is* no big deal, it's when one gets nekkid that things get
interesting.

I agree that the ban of nudity on broadcast TV here in the U.S. is silly.
We have no problem showing killing, bombing, shooting, fistfights and the
likes at 9 PM, but banning nudity even after 10 PM given what we'll gladly
show at 9 is almost offensive. It's a tad unrealistic, too.

I was not commenting on her nudity. She can go join a nudist colony
for all I care. No. Instead I was commenting on her health habits
which are as deadly as if she chainsmoked a pack a day, or drank until
she got liver disease.

You were commenting on her body image, which is directly related to
nudity. One of the reasons Americans aren't more 'enlightened'
regarding nudity is people like you who define others by their
appearance.

You made no comment on her health habits.
