THE O'REILLY FACTOR
• 'The Factor' investigates who is funding the dangerous 'Occupy'
protests....
• How President Obama handles his job
• Miller knocks NATO protesters
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY:
"Happily Never After". Slade enlists Heather to go engagement ring
shopping with him, but Gretchen and Heather's subsequent conversation
seems sure to throw Slade's plans for a loop. Alexis throws an over the
top birthday party for her four-year-old twins, while Tamra goes under
the knife to have her "Simon" tattoo removed from her finger. Later,
Vicki has a gut-wrenching, blowout fight with Briana that could forever
damage their relationship.

MODERN FAMILY: I don't care about Mexican soap operas or about Lilly, so
there was a lot of dead air in this episode. I did like the bit with Jay
dancing on stage, though, and the stuff with Luke and the mail. I would

DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23: The stuff with Van Der Beek and Dean
Cain was tedious, the first time the Van Der Beek stuff on this show has
been bad. I liked the idea of a 'shut-in' type doing a comic book about the
girls. I didn't like the drunken idiot stuff. Overall, this was another
weak episode.
JAN: episode #7 of the WIGS Youtube series. I really wonder if this whole
series is written by Lens Crafters or some such place since the show has
constantly relied on the glasses as a plotline. This episode, we get a
lesbian putting the moves on Jan, but then she is interrupted by Jan's trip
to the emergency room to check up on her ex-boyfriend. So, basically
nothing happened this episode.

American Idol - As usual they put on a good finale (although not their
best). And as usual, the best singer didn't win.
Law and Order:SVU - The team investigate a dead body found during the
bachelor party with several powerful people in attendance and find
themselves in the middle of a fight between two high class escort
services.
The Divide (Netflix Rental) - The movie starts with a woman witnessing a
nuclear strike on New York before being rushed down to a bomb shelter
beneath her apartment complex. The rest of the movie deals with how the
survivors (several tenants who made it to the shelter) cope and slowly
descend into Lord of the Flies territory. I can't say it's a good movie
but it definitely held my interest throughout. It stars Michael Biehn
as the super who built the shelter with Milo Ventimiglia and Courtney B.
Vance amongst the surviving tenants. There was an episode of the 80s
Twilight Zone called "Shelter Skelter" which stared Joe Mantegna as a
survivalist who survives a nuclear blast in his home built bomb shelter.
This movie felt like an extended version of that with more characters.
But I don't want to make it sound better than it actually was.

Mitchell's whining. Concentrate on doing a better job of raising the
little monster you already have, instead of creating another one.

The reveal at the end caught me by surprise. Thinking about how this

don't have a future episode devoted to Cam and Mitchell's inevitable
jealousy.
REVENGE (ABC) - My daughter wanted to check this out, so we watched
the recap and the last few episodes. It's total junk food, but fun.
I found myself cheering for Nolan at the end. His creepy James
Spaderesque persona has grown on me. He's the best damn character on
the show.

REVENGE:
They did a pretty good job with the finale. I don't believe for a second
that Victoria is dead (all it would take is a check on contract talks).
They wiggled out of sending Grayson to prison or not. So, I suspect, more
cheesy non-resolution, very soap opera style.
But it looks like Amanda has lost Jack and she ended the engagement with
the other stiff. And we got a really good new plot going about Charlotte.
Prep school soap opera, Yeah!
Nolan is getting better, as the inexplicable bad treatment from Amanda
finally seems to be subsiding and she appreciates his rather
two-dimensional "Daddy Warbucks" type character.
And her mother may be alive? Who's gonna' play her I wonder.
Grade: B
LOST GIRL:
Gets better every week. They have really done a solid job without any
money at all. And they advance the arc one step every week or so. This
week she got into some complicated assignment for a powerful art agent, a
plot that felt like it was stolen directly from Law & Order, but it did
give her a move forward in getting her doctor/lesbian lover out of
slavery.
Two funny moments:
First, they have found a way to buff up their cast -- do imitations of
famous actors. I almost swore we were in the room with Zooey Deschanel
and Johnny Depp at one point. The Deshanel lookalike moved away, as her
voice and style were different and her face was different, but the Johnny
Depp guy could have been a Vegas act. Very inventive schtick, IMO.
Second, one of the actresses accidentally pronounced "house as "hoose",
LOL. Eh?
Grade: B
THE BORGIAS (Bluray) Season 1 Eps 1-4
Wow, what a huge differenence from the version done in Europe (BORGIAS:
FAITH AND FEAR)!
US plusses: Much better actors, better sets and cinematography
Europe plusses: Tons more skin & sex, and a lot more shown. Better
location shots. Better plotting.
They did win in one casting decision, the unbelievably attractive Marta
Gastini as (Pope) Rodrigo Borgia's mistress. And Gastini is NOT shy about
showing off her bod. She plays entire scenes nude and shows it all. Here,

The US version presented Rodrigo as having a lot of sincere conflicts with
his conscious, whereas in the European version he was an out and out
scoundrel. His mistress is cute but the sex/nudity is PG-13 - can't hold
a candle to the Euro version.
The US version had a lot of anachronistic whinging about women's issues.
The European version had a LOT more politics, espciallly about Rodrigo
getting elected Pope. They took like two or three entire episodes to get
him into the papacy, where the US version got him elected in like half an
hour.
Grade: B
I might have graded it higher if I hadn't seen the European one first, but
watching either highlights the flaws in the other.

This was an OK episode, though both Zoe's and Wade's behavior through
much of the episode put me off. But, once again, it's actually the
Annabeth storyline that's the pick of the litter, and that actually
elevated this one above average.
soaps: GH - LOL! What passes for a "prison attack" on GH is Pale Ghost
Maxie getting clown make-up put on her by the prison 'tough'. Wow, if
what I can look forward to in prison is... a bad 'make-over', I ain't
never wantin' to be put "inside"!!1! LOL!...
Blue Bloods (recorded) - Third-to-last episode of the season, where
Danny and Jackie guard a Russian nanny witness to a mob hit, and in the
end Jackie gets some 'Russian nanny love' (no, not literally - don't get
excited) for her efforts. Meanwhile, the Mayor tries to hire Erin as
Deputy Mayor to get one up on Tom Selleck. This was a pretty good ep, I
thought - I actually watched it with *no* distractions for once! (e.g.
no internet surfing) and it held my interest throughout.
Criminal Minds rerun - The one with the Zodiac Killer copycat, and the
'twist' ending.
Revenge - Season finale.
Oh, my, this did not go well, *at all*.
SPOILERS!!...
Not that they're worth much... >:/
First off, "Revenge" keeps its record in tact as the "Most Pussy
Drama" on TV, with the *lowest* body count on TV (quite ridiculous,
actually, for a show entitled "Revenge"!) - I'm sure we were supposed to
cheer when FauxEmily lost her nerve and didn't kill James Morrison, but
I was just disgusted and appalled (with the show).
Next, FauxAmanda shows up finally, and I should have cheered, but you
see FauxAmanda is 'with child', so instead I just booed.
Oh, and Tanaka the mysterious Japanese mentor?! - He was totally
absent from these proceedings, so we still have no idea what he's up to,
or where FauxAmanda has been all this time.
Finally, Victoria is apparently all 'blowed up, real good' on her
plane (I don't buy that for a minute), along with Lydia (who I am quite
sure *is* dead, as the show doesn't need her in season #2...), and all
of the evidence implicating the Graysons. Oh, but that's not the worst
part: the worst part is that FauxEmily's Mommie isn't dead - I actually
predicted this a long time ago, so I *should* be cheering - but instead
I'm booing, because I'm now nearly certain that FauxEmily's/RealAmanda's
Mommie is, in fact, behind the whole conspiracy, which means I think her
Mommie is going to turn out to be the show's ultimate 'Big Bad'.
Thump.
Yeah, that sound you heard? It's the bottom dropping out of this
show.
Suffice it to say, I am definitely not looking forward to season #2
of this one...
The one thing I did like about the finale was the
"Cake"(Charlotte)/Declan arc - I actually hope they follow up on both
halves of that next season: I was not expecting Declan's new girl to
have had an affair with a middle-aged teacher, so I'd like to see some
follow-up on that...
But, if I was grading this, this Finale would be lucky to get a 'C-'
from me - I'm more inclined to give it a 'D'. >:/

on with the cartoon ending??!!...), and The Soup.

so that it is less obvious which contestants are going to advance, but I
find it really pathetic that after the season is over they *only* release
sales data for the winner while hiding the data for the second place
contestant. Currently, Phillip Phillips has 9 songs on the iTunes chart.
No other AI singers are listed.

Anything that messes up either Charlotte or Declan is fun. I still like

I don't know if Hunger has a twist or not, but to be clear, despite my
referencing Twilight Zone, there is no twist in The Divide; no mad
scientist experimenting on people. I don't want to get spoilery but the
shelter is fairly well stocked. There is a mini plot regarding what's
happening on the other side of the door (who is out there and what they
want) the bulk of the story deals with how the survivors inside the
shelter, not being very nice to each other.
