episode of "The X-Files"

And who do you think played "Frank Black"??
The episode was titled "Caroline and the Bad Back". Caroline had a bad back and
took too much medication and hadn't finished her strip for the next day yet.
Richard and Del decided to write one up for her. The next morning they show
Niles and Daphne reading it. Niles gets the joke. Daphne doesn't.

>Unofficial Crossovers:
>Chicago Hope <-| St Elsewhere ** "Cushing Left Anterior Descending
>Artery Award"
There was another CH/St. E crossover. On an episode of CH, the doctors went to
a medical convention in Las Vegas. There was a screen that listed all of the
hospitals the casino was welcoming. After Chicago Hope was listed, it said St.
Eligius (the hospital on St. E).

This brings up an interesting question. Is Coach part of Bob Hartley's
"Newhart" dream or did the characters from The Bob Newhart Show 24th appear on
Coach?

On the whole I'm inclined to think that just because a character on
one show has a dream about another show doesn't mean the other show
doesn't "exist". Since the X-Files and Early Edition exist in the
munchiverse, it's perfectly possible for someone in another universe
to have a dream about the Munchiverse.

I just remembered there was a "Murphy Brown"/"Raymond" connection. On MB Jim
was forced by the network to do promos for the fall season, which led him to
make unkind references to ELR and "The Nanny", although neither show was
mentioned by name (and yes I realize MB and ELR can be indirectly connected in
other ways). BTW this also implies that "FYI" was a CBS show but I've always
wondered if that was ever made clear.
Ellen/Sister, Sister: The Olsen Twins (not sure on that one...had to have
played themselves on both, but...if you can have Liz Taylor, I can have this
one...)
And from that stems crossovers like...
Sister, Sister<----Smart Guy: T.J. Henderson
Sister, Sister/Ben Stiller Show/Saved by the Bell/ALF: Casey Kasem
Sister, Sister/Touched by an Angel/Living Single/Malcolm & Eddie/New York
Undercover: Montell Jordan
Unofficial one
Sister, Sister---->Facts of Life: Alexis Fields' character mentions Tootie.
(but she also mentions the show...)
But of course, it all hinges on the first one, so add at your own risk...
Taylor carried a continuing storyline from one show to the next.
Thank you.
And you're right about the bogus ELR/MB connection. My mistake. Sorry.
I meant to write:
Everybody Loves Raymond |-----> The Nanny ** Ray Barone
Thanks!

Sorry about that...rather new at ultra-large TV universes...

The thing about the Liz Taylor appearances that is different from any of the
other cameos is that Liz Taylor has a continuing story throughout the 4 shows.
It's not that she just showed up on those 4 programs, there was continuity
between all of them.
