"18 TO LIFE" BRINGS SUMMER LOVING TO THE CW

Romantic Comedy to Air Tuesday Nights Beginning August 3

July 15, 2010 (Burbank, CA) - Summer is about to get a lot hotter when
The CW unleashes 18 TO LIFE, the hit Canadian comedy series about a
modern-day Romeo and Juliet. The network will air all 12 half-hour
episodes from the premiere season of 18 TO LIFE on Tuesday nights
beginning August 3, with back-to-back episodes airing from 9:00-9:30
and 9:30-10:00 p.m. ET.

In the premiere episode of 18 TO LIFE, when Tom and Jessie -
18-year-old next-door neighbors who have grown up together - run off
and get married, their warring families are forced to become one in
this hilarious multi-generational half-hour about relationships, true
love, and who takes out the garbage. The series explores intimate
relationships in combustible combinations as husband-wife, mom-dad,
and in-laws all struggle to influence the newlyweds and control the
extended family's destiny. Tom and Jessie move into his parents' attic
and their marriage becomes public property, creating an endless string
of challenges for the couple. As this new love blooms audaciously
amidst the two settled marriages, it stirs up new frictions and old
passions in both sets of parents.

18 TO LIFE stars Stacey Farber ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") and
Michael Seater ("The Sin Bin," "Life With Derek") as the young lovers,
along with Peter Keleghan ("Billable Hours," "The Newsroom"), Al
Goulem ("The Tournament," "Stardom"), Ellen David ("Surviving My
Mother," "The Business"), and Angela Asher ("Degrassi: The Next
Generation," "Queer as Folk") as the parents, as well as Jesse Rath
("The Trotsky," "Prom Wars"), and Tiio Horn ("Wild Hunt," "The
Trotsky").

The show, which has just begun production on its second season in
Montreal, Canada, is a co-production between Galafilm Inc. and Sound
Venture Inc. in association with CBC Television. The series airs in
Canada on the CBC, and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios
Global Entertainment.

The series is created, written, and executive produced by Gemini
Award-winning writer Derek Schreyer ("Murdoch Mysteries," "Cold
Squad"), International Emmy Award-winning producer Karen Troubbetzkoy
("15/Love," "The Magician's House") and PrimeTime Emmy Award-winning
Galafilm CEO Arnie Gelbart.

Thumbs up to CW for finally getting some additional original summer
programming.

As I just said in another thread, I watched "The Vampire Diaries" rerun

If they are going to keep to the Aug. 3 premiere date, they had better
start running ads for this, and *fast*!

Ian (I'm watching the "Smallville" rerun tonight - I'll keep my eyes
peeled for ads of this...)

To be fair, they just made the programming pickup yesterday, so there isn't
much earlier that they could have advertised for it.

Most of the ads will preobably be on Tuesday. To be fair, though, CW isn't
trying to create a hit show with this filler material, they are just trying
to keep the last of their viewers from wandering away befrore their Fall
seasom starts. The same is true for 'Plain Jane' which is set to start
airing in just a few weeks on Wednesday nights.

WHY??

WHY??

By watching reruns you're holding *all* of us back!

Worse yet, Ian constantly watches the reruns while shipping the original
broadcasts off to DVR where the viewing won't count and the new programming
will be cancelled. Ian is definitely not 'part of the solution'.

Uh, did I become a "Nielsen family" without knowing about?!
No?!

Well then, it doesn't much matter what order I watch stuff in, does
it, hmmmm?!!...

Ian (There's an obvious reason why I do what I do - DVR'ing the
original stuff allows me to blow right past the commercials, whereas
with reruns they're not usually getting 100% of my attention anyway so
the ads don't matter.)

OMG, I just realized - *Tuesdays at 9pm*?! Are they effing
*serious*??!! Awesome! Put this into the most competitive timeslot of
the Summer!!

Well, that fixes that - there's probably *no* way I'll be able to
watch this, as I watch "Make It or Break It" (which is not rerun by
ABC Family at all) and record "White Collar" (if I'm lucky, USA may
rerun this, which *might* give me a chance to grab it from another
timeslot...).

Well done, CW, you JACKASSES!!

Claiming that you are worthless really isn't an excuse.

I agree that you have trained yourself not to pay much attention to what you
are watching; hence your taste in shows. Still, why not just turn the TV
off once in awhile rather than watching the reruns at all?

Sounds like you need another recording device.

Don't blame CW for your unpreparedness.

They always air "White Collar" multiple times. Here (East Coast) it
airs at 9PM and then again at midnight. Then it airs again on Thursday
night at 11:01PM, Saturday at 10AM, Tuesday 1:05AM/12:30PM. That's
just for this next upcoming episode. They will also be showing this
weeks episodes. So there's no problem catching the episode if you are
willing to record it at times you might not think to check.
