NEW YORK — HBO says it's wrapping up its drama "Big Love" after the
upcoming fifth season.

The series deals with a Salt Lake City businessman and his three
wives. The network said Thursday that it will return for a final
season Jan. 16.

"Big Love" stars Bill Paxton as busy husband Bill Henrickson. Jeanne
Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny (KLOH'-ee SEH'-ven-ee) and Ginnifer Goodwin
play his wives, Barb, Nicki and Margene.

Decent show. I hope they knew they were ending before it was all in
the can. It does not deserve to be "deadwooded."

By all accounts, the writers were a part of the decision to wrap it
up. They're saying they felt that the story had reach its conclusion
during the writing process for the new season.

Awesome. I could see where it was progressing towards an end point.
Good for them.
