Atheist Icon Penn Jillette Opposes Obama Now

Listening to NPR radio today, I was stunned
to hear an atheist icon, now, calling for the
rejection of Obama. The well-known atheist
Penn Jillette aired a hilarious anti-Obama
speech which took apart every plank in the
failed agenda of Obama. Will someone turn
off the lights, as they leave the Democrat
election HQ?

What's always struck me as _really_ crazy is the idea that an
omniscient deity won't know what you want unless you say it in
a prayer.

What is the point of praying to a god you think MIGHT exist? Pascal
didn't seem to realize that by trying to assign a probability to the
existence of God he was actually declaring himself an agnostic.

If He exists, He might intercede. If not, maybe you could get a
placebo effect; if not a miracle, then at least a way to cope. The
point is, it might work either way, while nobody attributes serious
side effects to prayer. Preaching, yes, but not prayer.
