'Dancing With the Stars' finale draws lowest ratings since Season 1

Donny Osmond's win Tuesday night was bittersweet for "Dancing With the
Stars": The broadcast drew an estimated 19.2 million viewers, the
smallest audience for the show's finale since the first season, The
Associated Press reports.

Though the ABC ballroom competition remains one of the most-watched
shows on television, ratings have been down all season, according to
Nielsen Co. This is an indication that viewers weren't as attached to
the contestants as they have been in the past.

Osmond and professional partner Kym Johnson won the mirror ball trophy
during Tuesday's ninth season finale. "I did it!" Osmond exclaimed. He
rushed to the audience and plucked out his wife, Debbie, whom he
carried across the stage.

Surgery for Inaba"Dancing With the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba
underwent surgery to relieve pressure and stiffness in her neck,
People.com reports. "I'll be fine, and if this surgery goes well, I
may have another one in the future," she said.

Pssh-shaw... 19 million viewers for a "reality"/'unscripted" show?
Scripted comedies and dramas would KILL for those numbers.

This season was much much better than the previous two. The season
where Julianne Hough appeared with her then-boyfriend was the low
point, IMO. Julianne really should return.
