Excellent performance even Timothy Dalton is great
(Who wanted him ditch as JAmes Bond, mistake)!
Tennant gives a grand bow out.
RTD does repeat theme as the Corrupt Gallifrey (see Trial of a Time Lord
and 5 Doctors) very well.
Gallifrey could come back, but a Battle Royale should
happen from 11 to 12 to cure the Time Lock Issue!
Even John Simm as the Master is funny and insane. Loved it.

(Hope he can fix the TARDIS).

I want to see a TV movie/mini series that brings back Paul McGann to show
the doctor's adventures during the time war. I want to see the Nightmare
Child, the Skaro Degradations, the Hordes of Travesty and all the other
horrors of the time war.

Agreed! Wanting credit for the destruction of humanity and then asking to
join the Time Lords as pure consciousness. The way he went from would be
destroyer of Time Lords to sucking up to them was marvelous.

I've read that the female Timelord may have been the Doctor's mother. But I
like the idea she was Susan more.

That annoyed me too. No doubt it will be handwaved away at some point
as a result of magic TimeLord/Master/Vinvocci technology. After all,
he fell into a rooom containing a Great Big Healing Machine which was
in the process of bringing the entire Time Lord assembly back from the
dead.

What? Restate that, please... it makes no sense, as there was no
"Romana" mentioned anywhere for the name to be changed.
Yads actually has a valid point for a change... Unless Rassilon is a

It was stated in the RTD/Julie Gardner commentary (BBC Radio 7) that she
was The Doctor's mother.
Of course, that could easily be changed by the next production team if

Other than two hearts the doctor has generally been portrayed as being frail
as any human. *Although* wasn't it recently established that the Doctor is

Here's another. What happened to the millions of people incarcerated?
Presumably the Master let them out...
How about new born babies and other toddlers? So they were they turned into
fully grown adult Masters (where they might have walked or driven off to do
Who knows what) then back into babies (perhaps miles from home). Presumably
we're not supposed to ask such questions. But hey, if Wilfred can ask about
his wife's corpse...
I hope the Master knows how to fly/land a plane or steer a nuclear submarine
or operate a nuclear power plant for that matter. He probably does but
still some discussion about these topics and why someone with the mind of
the Master would reconcile himself to doing the many service and non skilled
tasks necessary for the world to continue to operate.
The ramifications of what the Master did are HUGE with or without people
remembering exactly what happened. Although since a lot of it was filmed
live as it happened... Of course this being the Who universe it will
probably not be addressed. :-(

Well, the Time Lords are gone, never to return again. Really.
Considering we had Donna, who couldn't get involved in an
adventure again lest her brain burn out --which was established
in the episode featuring the return of Rose from a dimension that
could never contact ours again --which happened in the episode
featuring the return of the Daleks which had been wiped out for
all time... I guess TARDIS should be stocked up with enough beer
and chips for a LOT of guests for the end of next year.

Actually, he flashed from Wilf to Donna's mother to Donna - as if
tracing a line...
I think it's more likely that the woman was the next point in that line
- Donna's daughter, or some descendant. Somehow, it's all the result of
the meta crisis.

that you could just shoot the machine?
I was hoping the Doctor would give Jack the code to unbreak his time/space
machine. The last time the Doctor broke it he had not been the one who
previously fixed it.
Mixed in with The Matrix Revolutions was some other movie I can't quite
put my finger on. Some group was coming back, and it initially seemed
like a good idea, but then it wasn't. Not Howard the Duck and not The
Dunwich Horror...

Nope. He was just amusedly waiting to see which one of them the
Doctor would try to shoot. He didn't care, because wearing the
gauntlet of the real Rassilon, a bullet couldn't kill him, and
shooting the Master wouldn't break the link. There were billions of
Masters out there, all of whom would still be there even if the
template was killed.

Saving Mickey & Martha and the others as "one last time, then

A random thought about the Ood: are they evolving into something
like the Tharils of "Warrior's Gate"? It would be interesting to

The TVM was a co-production IIRC. But regardless of that, RTD can ignore
anything that he wants to from any era of Doctor Who, and he does, just as
Mr Moffat can ignore anything from the RTD era if he wants to.
(Inconsistencies are now put down to the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey
effect!)
So while RTD might have intended that 'the woman' is the Doctor's Mother,
one day it could easily turn out that she isn't!

Have you heard the commentary? Julie Gardner says it's the Doctor's
mother, but RTD says something like "She is? What? No no no... You're
mad!" In other words, that was what Julie Gardner interpreted the
woman to be, and was sticking to her assertation (no matter what the
writer of the episode was saying) -- RTD pretty much says it's NOT
supposed to be his mother.

I personally think from his tone that RTD did know, and that his mocking
denial was confirming it, but in a nod-nod wink-wink sort of way. As he
didn't state who she actually was and only mocked Julie Gardner's
statement. When RTD and JG were sitting down doing the commentary, it
wasn't the first time the woman would have cropped up in discussions, as
they must have had many many meetings during the production of The End of
Time to sort out who 'she' was. So the "What?!" "you are mad!" retort came
across just as a mock denial... to me anyway. It's quite possible that the
lady will feature in future episodes one day too, so keeping people
guessing might be RTD's way of having his jollies with the nerdy fans who
get outraged by small things like that.
Personally, I couldn't give a hoot about the woman. But I'm sure that we
will find out one day.

There are quite a lot of contradictions in DW over 46 years, as not every
writer on the show intended every line to be examined and referenced many
many years later. So some things might turn out to not be correct and/or
fit in with everything else.

No - After she flash-fried the Masters on her block, she fell
unconscious, and we didn't see her again until her fianc� found her.
Presumably, either, as part of "collecting my reward", The Doctor showed
up and re-wiped her memory (and the scene was edited out), or she
self-healed.
But nothing was explained; she was just magically OK.

The Doctor said something to the Master about not leaving her without
a defence. It may have worked to defend herself as well as zapping the
Masters. A reboot basically, erasing the returning memories.

I don't think you really do. Better they should always be spoken of
