All were "good" but none were outstanding.
I wouldn't rush to get a copy of any of the
performances. IMHO none have the X factor.
I say send them all home and call for a do over.

I thought Chris Rene stole the show with his own song.

For the first time, I really enjoyed a Melanie performance; her dance
number really had my interest, as it showed a side of her I hadn't
seen before. Unfortunately, in her second number, she slipped back
into her old, predictable, boring routine.

Musically, Rachel probably had the least enjoyable performances. LA
inferred that the movie people were waiting in line to sign her; I
hope that is the case. She won't go home because she is young and
cute and has an infectious personality.

Marcus' dance number was pretty good; the second number was just OK;
he is no Luther Vandross.

Josh, I don't know. He has been my fave for a long time, but he
didn't connect with me tonight. I think he is in danger.

First time tonight I did not vote. Give Melanie, Rachel or Chris the
$5,000,000. check and a whole lot of marketing along to see if they
can be assisted to become a star.

I've reached a point where ABJ is almost as important to me as who I
would, personally, like see win.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK...I know I'll probably regret asking, but what is ABJ?
Chris' song was hilarious. Mr. Azure could not believe how it had barely any
lyrics. That being said, I remarked that he was in no danger 30 seconds into
his second song.
Josh is amazing. He's got the crazy Joe Cocker thing going on a bit.
I think Melanie, Marcus and Rachel are in the bottom three...if there is a
bottom three. Marcus needs to go. Wait...keep Marcus and send home Nicole.
If Josh has success it will be in spite of Nicole. She is a GIANT albatross.
BTW...."A Song for You" = Leon Russell
Josh doesn't need to do anything different to win this
competition...he's great just the way he is, in my book! He won me
over from the start, but tonight I discovered another star in Chris,
and hoping both will still be there next week.
She is just excited. People react differently. I won a fairly big jackpot in
AC one time. I was sitting there like nothing happened. People were walking
by asking me if I was the winner. When I said "yes", they were telling me
how they'd be going crazy.
Melanie is a Whitney/Mariah/Celine type talent. She has to get used to the
fact she belongs.
Rachel's poise is amazing. She was my least favorite last night but
for a 13 year old she is extremely mature. It's funny that when there
was a discussion of whether a young teenager could withstand the
stress of the competition it was Rachel that was being cited as
problematic when it was Drew that had the meltdown.
How could I forget??? You know, it just struck me that both Drew and
Astro were fed the lie that they were the best and would be in the
finals at least. When they were at the bottom it went against
everything their mentors had told them, they couldn't believe it and
had meltdowns.
Part of being a star is knowing how to "act" the star, as long as you're
not being transparent about it. If people can see through it, then
you're not really being a star...just a phony.
Dude, 90% of stars are phony's and they aren't fooling me. Can we at least
give Rachel till she is 18 to perfect her phony coverup?
That's "my" opinion of her and it's not changing. We'll just have to
agree to disagree.
Yes, I gathered that. I have liked him several times before, but last night
wasn't really one of them.
Now there you have it! Have I told you how smart I think you are Azure? The
I'd like for you to just make your point once. . It's getting old. His hair
has been clean for all of the on air performances I've seen.
Yes it has, and they were showing them blow drying his hair last night
getting ready for a performance, so...oh yeah, we just blow dry non-wet
greasy hair, right? As to the rest of it, yes, it does get really old.
