There's a local group here where I live that has a daily promo on the
radio seeking homes for abandoned animals. Usually cats or dogs but the
pet for today is a tortoise. Reminded me of Corrie.

Won't be long before female snapping turtles will be coming ashore and
digging up my gravel driveway to lay their eggs.
The turtles do very little damage but the raccoons who come and dig out the
eggs make a hell of a mess.
