His name was mentioned in another post, but can someone remind me whether or
not he walked free from the court room? If yes, then he would be a great
character to bring back!!!!!

If I'm right..

He walked away free the first time (see: Free the Weatherfield one and all
that) and Deidre was wrongfully locked up instead. However he was eventually
found out when another woman whom he had tricked came forward and helped to put
him away. To answer your question I do think he was locked up.

Ahhh - but - the writers could conveniently forget this and bring him
back to do his dirt with the ladies (if there are any left) of Corrie
- I thought he was a good actor and played his part convincingly.

Maybe he could buy the Shop from Dev, or bilk Audreh out of the
hairdressers but underhanded means which would mean Audreh would again
find herself broke and turn to R Fred as her saviour. Gawd he'd need
to sell lots of chops to keep her, would he not ?

What role would he have if brought back? This was one of those never-ending
story lines that went on and on ... I didn't mind his taking Deirdre for a ride
and all that, so much as the 1) subsequent arrest of Deirdre, 2) the so called
trial, 3) the release Deirdre/Mike being noble campaign, and 4) the painful
introduction of Jacki Dobbs.

For these four effects of the initial cause, I'll never forgive Tie Boy.

I seem to remember a scene depicting Dreary walking out of prison and
her turning to see Lindsay being escorted into prison.
